Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has announced that he will be ready for the club’s second leg against Tottenham for their Round of 16 Champions League tie
Higuain had to come off the pitch early during Juventus’ 1-0 over Torino on Sunday’s Derby della Molle. There were concerns over Higuain afterwards with the club having previously announced that the 30 year-old had a sprain and had bruised his left ankle.
But the Argentine has now took to Instagram to reassure fans that the injury is not as bad as initially feared and now he is expected to return to the side for their Serie A match against Lazio on the 3rd of March.
“Good day. I want to thank everyone who has written to me and worried for me, friends, colleagues, fans y people I do not know but want you to be good. I will return very quickly to celebrate with the team you guys. Thank you from the heart.” said Higuain.
Juventus next face Atalanta in a Serie A game on Sunday, as the side look to overtake league leaders Napoli and claim an unprecedented seventh consecutive Serie A title this season.
