According to the player’s agent, Gonzalo Higuain sees himself retiring at the club as Maurizio Sarri looks set to be appointed by the Turin giants.

The agent of Gonzalo Higuain has revealed that his client is keen on ending his career at Juventus. The striker spent last season on loan at Chelsea but never really shone like he was expected to.

The Argentine scored a total of 55 goals during his first two seasons with the Serie A champions. However, Ronaldo’s arrival from Real Madrid saw Higuain forced to leave the club. Massimiliano Allegri couldn’t see the former Madrid man as a suitable partner to the Portuguese star.

However, things have changed. Following the conclusion of his loan spell, Higuain is back at his parent club. And with Maurizio Sarri likely to be the club’s new manager, the Argentine should be hopeful of getting one more audition.

Under Sarri, during the duo’s time at Napoli, Higuain became one of the most lethal strikers in Italy. And that could be the case yet again. Chelsea do have the option of making Higuain’s move permanent but it might no longer happen.

Sarri has always been a fan of the Argentine and will find a way to accommodate him in his starting XI.

The player’s agent has also stated that Higuain has a contract with the club and will be staying.

“Gonzalo wants to respect his contract and therefore stay with Juventus for another two years,” Nicolas told Radio Marte via Sky Sports.

“His performances at Juve have been good and playing for another team in Italy isn’t a workable solution.

“I don’t want to disrespect anyone, but if Gonzalo plays in Italy again then he only will for Juve, who own him.

“I think this could be Gonzalo’s year. He has so much strength and determination, and he wants to end his career at Juve.”
