Gonzalo Higuain’s romantic return to Argentina with River Plate is “impossible” as his father insists he is honoring his contract with Juventus.

It is rumored that Juventus want to sign a new striker this summer.

There is no way they will choose to part with Cristiano Ronaldo. Then there is Paulo Dybala, who has been in fantastic form this season.

While Higuain has seen a fair amount of playing time this season, he is considered the odd man out of the 32.

With the player back in Argentina to spend time with his sick mother while in coronavirus isolation. There has been the talk of a return to where it all began for the striker.

Higuain rose through the ranks of River Plate before he ventured to Europe. First with Real Madrid, before moving to Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea and now back to the Bianconeri.

However, it appears the player’s father has moved to shut down any idea of such aromatic final hoorah to his career just yet.

Speaking to Goal, Jorge Higuain describes it as impossible.

He said:

“It is impossible for now, Gonzalo has a contract that still has this year and next year.”

“At the moment he cannot return to River.”
