Holloway backs Liverpool to win the Premier League

According to former footballer Ian Holloway, he “can’t see Liverpool slipping up” this season as he believes they will be able to win the domestic title.

Liverpool was just one point away from Manchester City last season in the English Premier League.

But in the end, the Citizens lifted the domestic title.

And this season, former footballer and talkSPORT pundit Ian Holloway believes the Reds will be able to win the trophy.

“Can you see them slipping up? I just can’t see it,” he said.

“Their backline with Van Dijk, he’s like a Rolls Royce. Even Joel Matip looks magnificent next to him.”

Lacazette backs Guendouzi for success

The France international striker considers Guendouzi like a "younger brother" and he believes he will do great things in the future.

“Whoever you put next to Van Dijk is sensational and I think that could be the bearing on this year,” he commented.

“Pep Guardiola said Laporte was outstanding last season, and maybe we’re now seeing the fact that Man City’s wonderful team is missing one key element at the back.”

“That might [decide] the whole thing,” he concluded.
