Romelu Lukaku was suffering from a malfunctioning digestive system which is believed to be the cause of his poor form at Manchester United.

Ever since his switch to Italy last year, Romelu Lukaku has managed to establish himself as one of the key players for Inter Milan.

Recently, Lukaku became the fastest player to score 20 goals for Inter Milan. With 17 goals in the campaign, he is also competing with Cristiano Ronaldo and Ciro Immobile to win the Serie A golden boot.

The Belgian remains an integral force in Inter’s campaign as they look to dethrone Juve in the title race. So far, he has scored 21 goals in 30 games in all competitions.

Lukaku, however, had a disappointing spell with Manchester United before his transfer to Italy. He was often criticized for being ‘unprofessional’ and ‘lazy’ by the fans and pundits alike.

As The Telegraph reports, the striker was going through a digestive problem last year. And Antonio Conte changed his diet plans and work out routines to help him regain his form.

Since joining Inter, Lukaku has lost almost half a stone (7lbs) in just 12 days. And looking at his current season, it seems to be doing wonders for him.
