The Serie A will get underway again soon, and fans can look forward to more big performances from Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus.

Ronaldo is a Serie A great and many players have cited him as an influence and inspiration, many of whom have gone on to establish themselves as legends in their own right.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo and Juventus are favourites with bookies around the world to win the 2020-21 Serie A. Among the list of betting sites in India, you will find 10Cric, who have Juventus priced at 2.25 to win the title this season. Inter Milan are offered at 2.60, Napoli at 13.00 and Atalanta 6.00.

Their first match against Sampdoria should allow them a relatively easy start to the campaign. But Ronaldo and company could be properly tested against Roma in their second match. After that big clash in the Italian capital, they’ll take on Napoli. With their first three fixtures out the way, Juventus should have a decent outlook on how the rest of their campaign shapes up, particularly if Ronaldo is firing well.

Ronaldo scored an outstanding 31 goals during the most recent Serie A. Of those, 22 were at home and nine away. For the most part, he was responsible for 40 per cent of his team’s goals in the season. That number was second only to Ciro Immobile of Lazio. Immobile netted 36 goals – his tally was almost 50 per cent of his team’s total.

Ronaldo, the mentor

Another football star in Arthur Melo recently left Barcelona and will be playing alongside Ronaldo this coming season. It’s a combination to look forward to, as the Italian giants chase yet another title.

The midfielder recently swapped Barcelona for the Serie A winners and is hoping for success in the Champions League at his new club.

Juventus midfielder Arthur says linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo will be “the realisation of a dream” as he targets Champions League success at his new club.

“I have had the privilege of playing with great players. Playing with Ronaldo is almost the realisation of a dream,” Arthur was quoted as saying.

Arthur went on to add that playing with important and great players is one of the main reasons he joined the extremely ambitious Juventus project, adding that he and his team-mates have set their sights on the Champions League.

“We are talking about Juventus, a club with a unique history. It is a team with an important structure – all these factors will always make it unique.”

Even more worldwide acclaim for Ronaldo

ESPN recently put Ronaldo in a prestigious list of best-attacking transfers by position since 2000. He’s right up there with big names like Neymar or David Silva. They account for his prolific days at Manchester United and Real Madrid, which have since led to his ongoing rise at Juventus.

United pretty much deserve the praise for developing him, but he was near unbelievable with the Spanish outfit, where he landed 15 big-ticket trophies and collected 400-plus goals. And least we forget that very initial stint with Sporting CP.

It has been a heady couple of years since Ronaldo joined Juventus. The club was strong without him and have grown to become something short of superhuman with him. Long may it continue, especially for fans of the man and team.
