The Premier League would look very different if the table was all about who had the best fans.

The fans are the lifeblood of any team. But other than their chanting, tomfoolery and sometimes ugliness they don’t get much recognition.

A recent Twitter post tried to give them encouragement and in the process caused an uproar. The tweeter decided to rank English clubs away support from elite to s**t.

The social media user with the handle @CarloMagnifico did not make too many friends.

Especially with the likes of Chelsea fans who were at the bottom of the chart and even die-hard Jordie’s who were ranked as average.

Since the viral debate, survery-maker.com attempted to get a far more accurate count and right the wrong.

Newcastle United fans will be far happier with the way this looks. They may even dream of the Premier League table one day looking like this too.

  1. Newcastle United – 2282 votes (19%)
  2. Manchester United – 1476 votes (12%)
