Hugo Lloris wants club to emulate Juventus

Hugo Lloris eyes Juventus blueprint

Hugo Lloris says that Tottenham need to copy the formula of Juventus in a bid to become a successful outfit for many years.

Hugo Lloris has been with Tottenham for almost six years now. During this time, the Frenchman hasn’t been able to win any silverware. However, he has always been part of an entertaining side.

After seeing Juventus dominate football in Italy, Hugo Lloris is certain that the Italian giants’ template for success is an excellent one to follow.

And as Tottenham prepare to take on the Scudetto kings, Hugo Lloris believes that the Italians are a great example as a team.

“We are going to face Juve and they have plenty of top players,” Lloris said as reported by The Express.

“They must be an example as a team and as a club to follow in terms of success.”

“They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and a team that is ready to win all the big competitions every season.

Kevin De Bruyne slams VAR handball rules: “It’s confusing”

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne believes the VAR handball rule isn't consistent after his team were denied a late winner against Tottenham.

“The Champions League is their first motivation. They have won eight Serie A titles in a row and for them the next step is to win the Champions League.”

Hugo Lloris points out the fact that despite failing in Europe, Juventus have still been able to recruit the best players in Europe. This summer has overseen the club sign the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Adrien Rabiot.

“They have lost two finals in recent years, but in terms of investment and recruitment, their squad is one of the most competitive in Europe,” he added.

Ndombele a massive talent

Tottenham on the other hand, have broken their transfer fee record by bringing in Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, the same club Lloris was signed from. And Hugo Llrois believes that his France teammate has massive potential.

“Tanguy is still a young player, but his potential is massive,” says Hugo Lloris.

“I think he has done great things for Lyon over the last two years and has shown his quality, especially in the big games in the Champions League.”
