Mesut Ozil insists he will give his all to help Arsenal achieve the desired goals as long as he remains at the club.
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil’s contract is set to expire at the end of the next season but he is in no hurry to commit his future to the club.
The 31-year old fell completely out of favor under former boss Unai Emery. Until November, he had started just a single Premier League match all season.
Ozil was once again given a place in the Arsenal line-up after Mikel Arteta‘s arrival. However, the 2014 World Cup winner is still hesitant to form a concrete opinion on his future in London.
“After this season I have one more year. So after that, I will know because I can’t see the future,” Ozil told The National.
“The thing I can do is give everything for the team, for myself, to be successful and let’s see what happens.
“What I know is that I will give everything for this club, for my teammates. We’ve had a difficult season, but we want to win games again. To take points, to maybe be in the top four at the end of the season.”
