Zinedine Zidane has wished for Paul Pogba to make a quick return to the pitch from his injury.
Zinedine Zidane has claimed that he will not judge his team by the lack of silverware at the end of the season, rather by the lack of showing continuous improvements.
Real Madrid slipped slightly below rivals Barcelona after playing a draw against Athletic Bilbao in their last La Liga outing. Up next, they travel to Getafe. And Zidane believes the most important thing for his team is to put consistent displays in every week.
“Failure is not trying. Not giving our all, that would be a failure,” Zidane said as per Marca.
“What’s important is giving our all on the pitch and then we’ll see.
“We know how difficult the Champions League is because of the rivals that are there. But in the league, there are many games so I consider it to be very complicated to achieve.
The Real Madrid boss then went on to comment on Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s injury hoping that he would make a quick return.
“I’m not saying anything. Paul [Pogba] is a player for another team and he’s also injured so I hope he’s back soon. I think about the players I have.”
