The new Real Madrid striker talks about what kind of footballer he is, and what he can learn from his teammates.
Luka Jovic is one of the big signings for Real Madrid this summer, ahead of the 2019-2020 Spanish La Liga season.
And the former Eintracht Frankfurt footballer has been quoted by Managing Madrid on what kind of player he is.
“I like smart players and that’s why I try to play with my head,” he said.
“When I was 15 years old and I was playing against people who were 18 and scoring 40 goals per season, my body and being a physical player helped me a lot.”
He explained: “Now I’m not a fighter who can go around pressing for 90 minutes. I like the simple things.”
“I want to only use my physicality when I am not able to dominate with my mind.”
“Kovac helped me when I needed to bounce back. He wouldn’t let me rest for a minute in training. He always wanted more from me,” the Serbian said.
“I’m very grateful to him. He was a very important coach for me. He made me a better player and a better person.”
