Former Arsenal player Ian Wright has revealed that Granit Xhaka is the one player at the club that still worries him.

Xhaka put up an impressive performance in the middle of the park on Sunday, as Arsenal defeated north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.

This season, the Switzerland international has grown in leaps and bounds under the tutelage of Gunners boss Unai Emery. He appears to be more disciplined on the pitch and has even added goals to his game.

But despite the obvious improvement and coupled with the fact Wright is a big fan of Xhaka’s passing ability and wonderful left foot, the second all-time scorer in the club’s history still has his concerns, which he explained on social media.

“There is no doubt in [Xhaka’s] football ability,” Wright told fans on Reddit.

Wenger doesn’t know if he will return to management

The French coach spent 22 years in charge of English Premier League club Arsenal and he has yet to decide if he will continue in a new club.

“Fantastic left foot and has a great passing range. But speaking honestly he is a player that worries me – simply because of the lack of concentration with his defensive duties.”

“Wolves and Cardiff are two good examples.”

“I do like [to] see him trying to organize the team and get people into the right positions – so he does show leadership on the field.”
