Nicola Legrottaglie has described Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the strongest player among all his old Juventus teammates.
Pescara head coach Nicola Legrottaglie has recalled his time with Zlatan Ibrahimovic during their playing days at Juventus while providing insight into his confident personality.
Having played with a host of top clubs across all of Europe, the 38-year old has had a lustrous career so far.
In a career spanning two decades, Ibrahimovic has scored 477 goals in 796 games with nine different teams. He has tasted success everywhere he has set his foot while winning numerous silverware with each of the teams.
Nicola Legrottaglie, who played alongside Ibrahimovic back in the day, has heaped praise on the AC Milan striker while highlighting the impressive environment at Juventus.
“The strongest player I played with is Ibrahimovic. The strongest of all,” Legrottaglie told Il Centro.
“Once, when we were at Juve, he said to me: ‘Ibra makes you win titles, not Jesus’.”
“Juventus leaves a mark. Even if you don’t notice it, that environment marks you in a positive way. They inculcate your winning mentality. Sacrifice and work. When you then go to other clubs you understand why the world of Juventus is different.”
