Zlatan Ibrahimovic apparently has revealed that he ages in reverse after quoting Oscar-winning movie Benjamin Button.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed why he only gets better with age.
Most players see a dramatic dip in form the older they get. They are slower, weaker, less effective in front of goal and obviously play a lot less because of fatigue.
Well, you can forget all that when it comes to the enigmatic Swede, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The former PSG frontman has only got better with age.
He moved to PSG from AC Milan at the age of 30 and having traveled to some of the most illustrious teams on the planet, it was deemed by many a great payday.
However, he showed it was great football, and became the leading marksman for the Paris side, scoring 156 goals in 180 appearances.
Another move to United well into his thirties saw him prove his worth in arguably the toughest league in the world. He bagged 29 goals in 53 games, and it could have been so much more but for a serious injury.
Then to the USA, where he quickly showed he was above the standards of the MLS, hitting the target 53 times in 58 matches.
So he came back to the European top-flight and joined AC Milan. Once again he is scoring left and right and proving that age is nothing but a number.
In an interview reported by The BBC, he revealed he is the real-life Benjamin Button.
“People tell me I’m old and tired but I’m just getting warmed up.”
The question is can AC Milan hang on to their prized possession or is there another new chapter to be written in the book of Zlatan?
