Zlatan Ibrahimovic made a big impact in Europe as he played for giants in all of the top leagues.
Even though he had numerous managers, Ibrahimovic’s complicated relationship with Guardiola stays memorable.
The Swede with Balkanise descent arrived to Barcelona in a blockbuster transfer from Inter in 2009.
Samuel Eto’o went the other way, and Barca added €60 million on top of all that.
Although Ibrahimovic scored a lot for Barca, he never fully fit with the Catalans, leaving after just one season at Barca.
On the other end, Ibra’s perspective of Mourinho is completely different. The duo had a great spell at Inter, but Ibra left for Barca just before Mourinho took the treble in Inter.
“We still stay in touch, he had an incredible impact on my career,” he said.
“He is still the Special One — a winner.
“I hope he returns to a bench soon and I am certain he will win straight away.”
As for Pep, Ibrahimovic had some other words.
“We never had a confrontation, only down to him.
“When we faced each other, he hid from me.
“I went back to the dressing room after the game and he was in a room waiting for me to leave. At the door, one of his assistants told him: ‘Ibra has gone, you can come out now.’
“He is phenomenal manager, but as a man…”
