Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino talks about how he might not like the Video Assitant Referee (VAR) technology, but he has to accept it.
The Video Assitant Referee (VAR) technology is being used for the first time in the English Premier League.
And some have welcome the new technology to the competition while others have heavily criticized.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the VAR is here to stay and all clubs have to respect that.
“Rules are rules when you accept the rules, you accept the rules, you cannot complain. That is the rule,” he told Football London.
“I know very well that sometimes it will be for us and sometimes it will be against us and I need to keep my balance in my speech and what I am going to translate to my players and fans.”
“When you accept the rules like the club accepts the rules it is not a thing to complain. It is so clear, the VAR is so clear, like the transfer window is so clear,” he said.
“If you are not happy with the transfer window we need to talk and try and find a way to….it’s different to the VAR.”
He explained: “It is so clear the rules, and we accept them and we cannot stop the technology and the evolution. Football is a mix of technology. Happy or not happy, they are the rules?”
