Iker Casillas back to training after heart attack

Iker Casillas is back to the training ground after suffering a horrible heart attack on the football field


Superstar goalkeeper Iker Casillas suffered a fatal heart attack back in May. Iker Casillas suffered from an acute myocardial infarction while he was at the Porto training center. The officials at Porto then rushed the former Real Madrid goalkeeper to the hospital.

The heart attack kept Casillas sidelined for a little more than six months. But the Porto goalkeeper recently posted a photo of his training boots on Twitter. The Spanish goalkeeper confirmed that he is back on the training ground. And he is up and running once again and looks to have completely recovered from it.



Iker Casillas is one of the most decorated players ever. The Spaniard has enjoyed a huge success with his former club Real Madrid. Iker Casillas won five La Liga titles and played over 700 games for Los Blancos before parting ways with his childhood club.

The  Porto number one also enjoyed glory with his national team. As the captain of Spain for ten years, Casillas managed to win the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro Cup twice.

The footballing world will rejoice hearing about Casillas’ recovery.
