The Slovenian attacking midfielder believes his team can get a good position in the Italian Lega Serie A and a good performance in the Coppa Italia.

Atalanta is currently in the fifth position of the Italian Lega Serie A table with 56 points. The team defeated Napoli 2-1 tonight, as they continue to climb places in the standings.

The team still has five matches left in the 2018-2019 season: against Udinese, Lazio, Genoa, Juventus, and Sassuolo.

And they are also playing in the Coppa Italia Semifinal, where they tied 3-3 against Fiorentina in the first leg.

According to attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic, Atalanta is not giving anything up.

“I still can’t kick the ball in my usual way due to this knee problem, but I try to do everything else,” the Slovenian was quoted by Football Italia.

“The important thing is that we won to stay right up there and we’ll give our best. It’s good in a way that we started the season badly because we had time to make up for it and now we want to keep that momentum going to the end.”

“We’re in the Coppa Italia semi-final too and as we’re at that stage, we want to win it all. We’re giving nothing up. We know the sides challenging for a Champions League spot are very strong, but we want to be there too,” he added.

“For now, we’ll focus on Fiorentina, as that’ll be a battle just like today.”
