The Borussia Monchengladbach player hasn’t played a single match since April 13th, when he got injured playing against Hannover.
In the first minute of the Borussia Monchengladbach against Hannover match, Lars Stindl collided with Mathias Ostrzolek.
And he broke his tibia.
Six weeks since the injury, the Gladbach captain hopes he can return soon to continue playing for his club.
“We had a great first half to the season,” he told the club’s official website.
“Then we had some issues in the second half.”
He explained: “At the moment we’re excited to have finished fifth and that we get to take part in a really great international competition next season.”
“The healing process is going well and I don’t have any pain anymore—each day is better than the one before.”
“I’m fully focused on what’s ahead and am looking forward to the new season and getting to play in the Europa League!” he added.
“Whether or not I will travel to training camp at the Tegernsee in mid-July or if I’ll stay here to continue training remains to be seen.”
“I definitely don’t want to rush things,” he said.
“This past Europa League season showed us exactly what kind of unbelievably great moments you can experience anytime and anywhere.”
