Iniesta “Excited” to play with David Villa at Vissel Kobe

Iniesta and Villa will join forces once again at Japanese club Vissel Kobe and both former Spain internationals are looking forward to the experience.

David Villa, 37, and Andres Iniesta, 34, were teammates at FC Barcelona, and also won the World Cup together in 2010. Villa is officially leaving New York City FC and will once again join the legendary Spanish midfielder at Vissel Kobe.

The Vissel Kobe midfielder is currently in Barcelona and met up with all his old teammates at Camp Nou. He’s also back in the city for an Ariel promotional event, where he discussed speaking with Villa about playing together again.

“I met with him on the last day before coming here [to Barcelona],” said Iniesta, according to Marca.

“We were teammates before and having a player of his level makes me very excited.”

Iniesta also had some words about Ousmane Dembele’s current situation at the club and about Pele saying Messi does not deserve the Ballon d’Or again.
