Jurgen Klopp says Alisson Becker will be “100%” ready to face Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp has given an injury update ahead of the UEFA CHampions League gane against RB Salzburg.
Alisson Becker will not be fit enough to face Salzburg, be he will be ready to face Manchester United in the Premier League on October 20th.
In his prematch press conference, reported by official club website liverpoolfc.com.
He said:
“He didn’t train so far with the team and we have to see for Leicester [on Saturday]. For the Manchester United game [on October 20], probably 100 per cent, but we have to see.”
While Alisson is eager to get back on the pitch, Klopp is airing on the side of caution.
He added:
“One is Ali’s opinion, the other is the medical department. They are a little bit cautious.”

“We have to see. He looks really well but it was a serious injury and we don’t want to take any risks.”

The Brazillian and Liverpool number one has been out with a muscular injury since the 36th minute of the opening game of the season.

Klopp also gave updates on Cameroon international Joel Matip, who was new to the injury list after the weekend match against Sheffield United.

He said:

“Joel Matip obviously got a slight knock at Sheffield, we have to see how exactly it will be.”

Other than that Klopp confirmed that things are as they were. There is still no update on Zherdan Shaqiri and patience is the key to Alisson Becker.

He concluded:

“Apart from that, everybody should be fine.”

“Of course, we have the players who weren’t available last week – that means Shaq is still out.”

“Alisson is very close but for sure not for tomorrow. I think that’s it pretty much.”
