Inter and Roma battle for Mancini’s signature

Gianluca Mancini’s agent confirms interest from Roma, Inter Milan, and the other Serie A teams but “in January he’ll definitely stay” at Atalanta.

The defender is the latest youngster to impress under Gian Piero Gasperini, and there’s no shortage of interest in him.

“In January he’ll definitely stay in Bergamo,” Stefano Castelnovo confirmed in an interview cited via Football Italia.

“In Italy, there’s no better place for a young man. It’s early to talk about it [a move] but between April and May, we’ll meet with Atalanta to decide whether to renew or transfer.

Mancini doesn’t regret leaving Atalanta for Roma

The footballer wants a chance to play in the UEFA Champions League with a team that can fight for the top places in the Italian Lega Serie A.

“Inter and Roma? They’re very interested, but also the other big Italian clubs and those abroad.

“I won’t name any names, but medium to high-level English and German clubs.”

With Juve set to wrap up the Scudetto, both Inter and Roma are keen securing a place for the top-four spot.
