As trouble brews in Catalonia, Inter Milan have been linked with Lionel Messi but it is the future of Alexis Sanchez that they are prioritizing over.
The San Siro based outfit have been linked with quality additions to continue their upward trajectory. Lionel Messi is one of those reinforcements.
La Pulga is unhappy at Camp Nou and is rumored to want an exit. It is speculated that Inter is leading that race.
Giuseppe Marotta has rubbished these claims, whilst alluding that Messi will continue with Barcelona.
“It’s fantasy football,” Moratta told Sky Sport Italia.
“He certainly is not one of our objectives and I think he’s interested in continuing his football career in Barcelona.”
Nevertheless, Inter Milan are busy in securing the future of Messi’s former teammate, Alexis Sanchez.
The Nerazzurri have Sanchez on loan from Manchester United and want to extend his loan. The Italians have the Europa League to look forward to after Serie A concludes, and want the Chilean on their side.
“It’s an anomalous issue, considering the Europa League can be changed by the absence of certain players.”
“The situation has not been resolved yet, we are working to at least keep hold of him for the entire Europa League.”
