Inter target Vidal goes back to training with Bayern

After a long recovery from a nasty knee injury he suffered in April, Arturo Vidal is back on the pitch and looking for the best destination to continue his career.

This past week has been important for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, who has returned from a long recovery period after a knee injury he suffered in April as he keeps getting linked to several clubs in Europe this summer. Perhaps the most interested club in his services is Italian side Internazionale Milano, they would be keen on bringing King Arturo back to Serie A from Bayern Munchen. The German club’s board of directors have made statements that open the door for the Chilean player, they pretty much have left him to decide his own future without saying they want him to remain in the Bundesliga.

There was an interview that board member Karl Heinz Rummenigge made this Tuesday during an interview with German news site Kicker, in which he practically said that Arturo is free to leave the club if he wishes: “Arturo needs to decide his future all by himself. He still has a year left in his contract with us but if he wants to sign a longer agreement somewhere else, then he will have to leave and if he presents an offer to us we will evaluate it,” said Rummenigge to Kicker this Tuesday.

While the player made his return officially by posting a video on social media, this Rummenigge statement can be easily linked to the one that Uli Hoeness made earlier about the possibility of letting up to three players leave the squad before the holidays due to the overbooking they have in the squad right now: “We will have to let at least three players go before Christmas at the latest, because if we don’t then we will have technical problems due to overbooking,” said Hoeness to Sport BILD. It’s now up to the clubs that want Vidal to make an offer for his services.
