The Nerazzurri are eager to sign a midfielder this summer and could make a move for Stefano Sensi as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his squad.
Internazionale are currently monitoring Stefano Sensi. The Italian midfielder is a wanted man in Italy following strong displays for Sassuolo last season. The youngster is considered one of the best ‘centrocampista’ in Italy and definitely has a great future ahead of him.
According to Gazzetta della Sport, Sassuolo chairman, Giovanni Carnevali and Inter legal advisor, Giuseppe Riso have already met to discuss a possible sale this summer. Beppe Marotta and Antonio Conte were also present in the meeting.
Sassuolo value the youngster at €35 million for the youngster. And although Conte is a big admirer of Nico Barella of Cagliari, the club might go for a cheaper option. Cagliari want at least €50 million for their star midfielder.
Sassuolo on the other hand, are also open to a player plus cash deal, having identified Gravillon as one player they want to acquire.
Stefano Sensi is definitely a very refined midfielder and his way of football is exactly what Antonio Conte absolutely loves.
But that does not mean that the future of Barella has been decided. The young midfielder is still of interest to Antonio Conte. Inter would also want to keep their options open. And with the club looking to turn a new page and sign up the right players, it wouldn’t be surprising if both youngster end up joining the residents of Giuseppe Meazza.
Clearly, Inter Milan have made a very strong start to their summer campaign. While Conte hasn’t signed yet, signs are that things are going according to plan.
And with Stefano Sensi one of the players linked with a move to Lombardy, it is clear that Inter have once again become one of the favourite destinations for many talented players.
