Pippo Inzaghi is still buzzing about Bologna’s win in the hard-fought victory against Udinese.

Inzaghi’s men went behind courtesy of an Ignacio Pussetto opener, however, Federico Santander had other ideas as he scored a goal and assisted another to ensure victory.

“I wanted to team to prove that the critics were wrong, that we had a lot of quality and determination,” the Coach revealed to Football Italia

“We struggled for a few minutes against a good Udinese side, but then limited them and emerged in the long run, with a particularly good second half performance.

“I’m very happy for our fans, who were proud of us today, and glad we could give President Joey Saputo a victory with him in the stands.

“I hope it represents a good birthday gift for him. He is an extraordinary person and any Coach would be happy to work with him.

“We deserved the victory and fought to the end with a strong team spirit. We weren’t prepared to settle for the draw.”
