It looks like Kylian Mbappe has won the race to be fit for Paris Saint Germain’s Champions League quarter-final match against Atalanta.

Will be play, won’t he play, has been the question regarding Kylian Mbappe since he limped off in the French Cup final?

PSG has prepared for the most part for their Champions League quarter-final clash with Atalanta under a cloud.

There was devastation in the air even though PSG won the French Cup final against St. Etienne. After kicking lumps out Mbappe, the World Cup winner was finally taken out by a brutal challenge, which saw him not only leave the field but pictured after the game on crutches.

The French Champions boss Thomas Tuchel as done his best to play his cards close to his chest with regard to his superstars chance of playing in arguably the biggest game in the club’s history.

Although the player himself has been giving hints all week.

It now appears the race is over and the player has made it to the finish line. It is unclear if he will start, be a sub, or what? However, Tuchel appears confident that Mbappe will play some part.

According to the club’s official website he said:

“If Kylian has a good session on Tuesday and everything goes well, he will be in the squad on Wednesday.

It appears from today’s photoshoot, he made it through Tuesday and Wednesday.

This will not be the kind of news Atalanta will want to wake up to on game day!
