The 21-year-old would love to be playing with Chelsea right now, but he knows he needs to get better and is loving every minute of his Vitesse loan
Youngster defender Jake-Liam Clarke-Salter had his professional debut with Chelsea in 2016.
But he was quickly loaned to Bristol Rovers for one year, then Sunderland for six months, and now with Vitesse since the summer.
And the 21-year-old says he’s happy about the loan experience, expecting to be back to Chelsea in the English Premier League any time now.
“When I have gone away with England I have never felt like it was me,” he told The Telegraph.
“You are not allowed an opinion for England. If you do you are seen to have a bad attitude.”
“It’s all about getting experience,” he added.
“Chelsea has a lot of experienced players, full internationals, so it is not easy to automatically go into their team. But if you keep doing well then you never know.”
