Paulo Dybala admits he never thought he would miss football as much as he is doing now and is eagerly waiting for the season to resume.
With Italy being one of the hardest-hit nations by the coronavirus pandemic, Serie A became one of the first major European leagues to cancel its football matches earlier in March in an attempt to combat the spread of the virus.
While the situation is still far from being under control, it is gradually moving towards normality as of late. Serie A clubs, as a result, have been given the green light to resume training sessions.
Ligue 1 and Eredivisie have already ended their season prematurely. The Italian top-flight football does not want a similar scenario and hence, talks of resuming the season have intensified in recent times.
Scoring 13 goals and registering 12 assists from 34 matches, Paulo Dybala was enjoying a remarkable season with Juventus. And speaking an Instagram Live session, Dybala states he cannot wait to step on the pitch again.
“To tell you the truth, I never thought I was going to miss playing and training that much,” he said, as Goal reports.
“I need to put my boots on and run, score a goal. As I always say, when you are passionate you make everything twice as important.
“It’s been too long without training. We don’t know exactly when we’ll be back. It’s not like a holiday when you know you’ll be resting for a certain amount of time.”
