Mohamed Salah says he never had a preference between the Champions League and Premier League and is thrilled to have won both with Liverpool.
It would be unfair to pin Liverpool’s recent successes on any one player, but it would be fair to say that Mohamed Salah has been one of the major contributors in them.
Salah scored 16 goals and registered 10 assists to help Liverpool win the 2019/20 Premier League title.
He found the back of the net on 12 occasions while setting up his teammates five times to guide his side to Champions League success last season.
In an exclusive interview with the official club website, the former Chelsea and AS Roma man reveals it has always been in his ambitions to win the English top-flight trophy.
There has been some talks of a possible exit for this summer, but he also dismissed any such rumors insisting that he is happy at the club.
“Always when people asked me what you prefer, Premier League or Champions League? I always say both – thankfully we’ve got both. That’s great,” said Salah.
“It [winning the league this season] feels great… It’s great, it’s unbelievable. Since I came here I said I wanted to win the Premier League with this club.
“What I’m seeing from the fans and the people here is unbelievable, I’m really happy and enjoying it.”
