Branislav Ivanovic captained Zenit Saint Petersburg to the Russian Premier League title and is attracting interest after his contract concluded.

Chelsea fans have great memories of Ivanovic at Stamford Bridge. It was his tireless performance that kept Barcelona at bay and got the Blues in Champions League final.

And who can forget Ivanovic’s looping header that delivered the Europa League title? The Sremska Mitrovica native is a legitimate Chelsea great.

Frank Lampard is at the helm of the Blues and a reunion of Chelsea greats is afoot. Petr Cech is involved with the club, so is Ashley Cole.

However, Ivanovic is not entering that fray. Not yet at least. The 36-year-old is still an active footballer and made 35 appearances for Zenit Saint Petersburg.

He lifted the Russian Premier League and Russian Cup trophies with the club, one of which he broke. Ivanovic’s performances for the Lions has raised interest in his services and a former manager wants him with me.

Carlo Ancelotti had Ivanovic in his Chelsea dressing room and wants him at Everton. The Toffees want him and he is willing.

The 105-time capped Serbia international admitted that his next move is to settle at Everton. Nevertheless, if an offer from Red Star Belgrade would come, Ivanovic will consider it before signing his contract.

“I will probably continue my career at Everton. I received a good offer from them. I will see how things will turn out,” Ivanovic was quoted by 101greatgoals.

“So far, I have not received any offer from Red Star. If anyone calls me, then I will consider the offer. Now there is no need for me to think about moving to Belgrade.”
