Aston Villa forward, Jack Grealish believes that next season would be a great opportunity for him to force his way into the England set up.
Jack Grealish played an immense role in helping Aston Villa return to the English Premier League. Throughout his stay in the Championship, the youngster was always linked with a move to a big club in England’s top tier.
However, Jack Grealish decided to stay put and his patience has paid off. Aston Villa are back among the big boys and are likely to offer strong competition based on their transfer market activity.
For Jack Grealish, the new season could be a great opportunity to impress England national team manager, Gareth Southgate. The former Middlesbrough man has given opportunities to tons of young English players and if he does well, the young forward will get a chance to represent the Three Lions soon.
While speaking to the Daily Star, he said, “Maybe when I was 19, 20 and last played in the Premier League, I took it for granted and didn’t realise how lucky I was to be playing there.
“Now I am back there I need to grab it with both hands and hopefully push this club as high as possible.
“For me, what I want to do this season is get into the England team.”
He adds: “Last season we were the ones everyone wanted to play against because we were the biggest club in the Championship, in my opinion..
“This season we are probably not the biggest but we are looking forward to playing the likes of Manchester United and Man City. For now all eyes are on the Tottenham game.”
Indeed Jack Grealish is a serious talent who didn’t get much of a look-in while his team was playing in the lower division. But things are bound to change now that Premier League football awaits the Villans.
