Borussia Dortmund youngster Jacob Bruun Larsen revealed he idolises Cristiano Ronaldo and harbours a soft spot for his former club Real Madrid
Ronaldo, who has won many individual accolades across his stunning career, has inspired many young players over the years with his devotion, physicality and keen eye for goal.
Among these youngsters are Kylian Mbappe and now Bruun Larsen is the latest one to join the list.
The 20-year-old winger is widely viewed as one of the most exciting young talents in German football and recently impressed against AS Monaco in the Champions League.
“Over the last many years, yes. I don’t think he’s the best footballer. But he has an eye for goal. He’s always there when things get dangerous,” Bruun Larsen told the TV show Sat Af.
“And that’s what I’ve been working on for the last two years.”
The Denmark U-21 international also revealed a desire to play for his idol’s old club Real one day in the future.
“For me personally, it would be bigger to play for Real Madrid than to win a big title. If you can play for Real Madrid every day, and you can be a regular there, that’s just the greatest thing,” said Bruun Larsen.
“Because then you’re one of the very best – one of the 11 best players in the world.”
Bruun Larsen has managed three goals and two assists in seven appearances for Dortmund across all competitions this season.
