James Milner congratulated Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah on winning FIFA’s Puskas Award with his seventh-best goal

The Egyptian forward’s strike against Everton in December 2017 saw off competition from Cristiano Ronaldo’s overhead kick in last season’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Juventus and Gareth Bale’s acrobatic stunner against Liverpool in the final.

Salah had the best year of his career to date by scoring 44 goals in 52 games for Liverpool and winning the Premier League Golden Boot.

Although Milner was quick to point out that Salah’s goal against Everton may not have been his best one.

“Congrats Mohamed Salah on your seventh best goal from last season winning goal of the year #baller #topbin #oneofmanyworldies,” Milner wrote on Twitter.

Henderson ‘extra’ motivated to win trophies for Liverpool & England

Jordan Henderson revealed how some very near misses over the years have made him more determined than ever to win trophies for both club and country.

Salah did, however, lose out to Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric for FIFA’s The Best award.
