Jamie Vardy has won the Player of the Month award by EA Sports

Leicester City ended their last match of October in a splendid fashion. The Foxes demolished Southampton in a 9-0 win. Leicester City continued their excellent run of form by winning 2-0 against Crystal Palace earlier this month. Their victory saw them move to third place in the Premier League table. Leicester City are now only 11 points behind the leaders Liverpool. And much of the credit for their form goes to Jamie Vardy.

The England international scored thrice against Southampton to level with Sergio Aguero and Tammy Abraham as the top scorer. Then, against Crystal Palace, Vardy added another this month to top the goal-scoring charts.

The striker’s efforts have been recognized by the media. Jamie Vardy has been voted as the player of the month for October by EA Sports. The Englishman has won this award for the fourth time in his career. While Vardy got his second Player of the Month this year, he has also received it twice in 2015/16.

“It’s great to win the award but it just shows what the team has been doing as well,” Vardy told premierleague.com.
