Jaume Domenech is optimistic that Valencia can upset the odds in the Copa del Rey final.
The Los Che goalkeeper has featured in all Copa del Rey games this season and will retain his spot in goal as Marcelino’s side go up against Barcelona on Saturday night.
Jaume acknowledged the threat posed by Messi, however, he feels his side can hurt any team on their day.
“The most important thing is that we see the best Valencia,” Jaume said.
“Messi is decisive, he can decide a game and a final at any moment. I’ve come up against him three times before.
“If we play well, we can beat anyone and win the trophy.”
Valencia will be playing their first final since 2008, when they lifted the Copa del Rey by beating Getafe at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
“I watched it in my town,” Jaume said via Marca.

“All my friends supported Valencia. It was very exciting because Valencia didn’t have a great season and it was a dream to see Valencia play in the Copa del Rey final.”
Valencia are expected to bring thousands of fans to Seville in the hope of winning their first trophy for 11 years, and Juame knows how important they’ll be.
