Joao Mario who is currently on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow would rather stay with his temporary club than return to Inter Milan.

The Portuguese international arrived at Inter back in 2016 from Sporting CP with a 40 mullion Euro price tag and a huge reputation.

After two years at Inter, he was deemed surplus to requirements and farmed out on loan initially to West Ham United.

He made 14 appearances for the Hammers in six months and then returned to Inter.

Another year at Inter proved unsuccessful, and he was sent out on another loan this summer.

His destination Moscow, with Lokomotiv.

In an interview reported by Football Italia, the player feels he has found his new permanent home.

He said:

“If it depended on me, I would still choose Lokomotiv, to be honest.”

“I like the club, the city. So, yes, I’d rather stay here than go back to Inter.”

“You never know what will happen next.”

” I hope that Lokomotiv will be able to get me, we will sit down and agree on everything.”
