Joe Hart thinks that his side can only benefit from players competing for places and he knows that it also includes his own position as Adrian impressed during the 3-2 comeback against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
England’s No. 1 was impressed by Adrian’s performance against the Spurs despite the fact that it will make his position as the club’s number one more unstable. He is happy that Adrian proved himself and he is looking forward to fighting with him for the place in the starting eleven.
The England international talked about the recent situation as he said, according to whufc.com: “I have been a part of strong goalkeeping lineups everywhere I have gone. This is no different. Adrian is a top goalkeeper and capable of big performances like he proved on Wednesday night. I enjoy working with him every day and we leave it up to the manager to work out what’s going on and we will try and give our best for the team.”
He also added: “When everyone is fit at our Club, we have a good enough squad to make it difficult for the manager. There’s strength in depth in every position so that’s why he gets paid his money and he will pick the best team to win.’’
Joe Hart also spoke about his relationship with Roy Hodgson who was his opponent in the last Premier League match: “It’s been a tough time for them but I’m sure they are trying to address that in-house and they have the same kind of hunger and desire as us – it’s who shows the quality on the day. You can’t beat Chelsea with one man. They’d have beaten Chelsea with all their players playing out of their skin. It helps to have players like him. They have quality throughout their team. I don’t think there’s any team in the Premier League that doesn’t possess at least three standout players and the rest are very, very good.”
