Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has expressed his delight at joining Burnley on a permanent basis.
Joe Hart signed for Burnley from Manchester City for a fee of £3.5m earlier this week, having spent the last two seasons out on loan with Torino and West Ham United.
He was in goal in Burnley’s match against Istanbul Basaksehir in Thursday’s Europa League qualifying tie where he kept a clean sheet.
Joe Hart again kept another clean sheet at St Mary’s on Sunday as Burnley took a point in their goalless draw against Southampton.
Hart, was magnificent as he produced a big save to deny Jack Stephens from scoring, he told BBC Sport: “We played really well in the first half but they changed it round at half time and pushed us in the second half.”
“I think we’re both happy with a point in the end. I push myself to the edge in all I do. I’m really pleased to be at this club and to be here permanently.”
“I’ve walked into a nest of top keepers and I’ll have to be on my toes if I want to keep the shirt.”
