David Luiz’s agent Kia Joorabchian insists his client’s future will be resolved this week and his recent performance has no bearing on the outcome.
Arsenal defender David Luiz’s future has been in question for while now. His arrival from Chelsea last summer was a surprise transfer by former Gunners manager Unai Emery.
The current boss Mikel Arteta has suggested that the Brazilian is part of his plans and has a future at the club.
However, following an injury, he as introduced early in the first half. But things did not go to plan the night turned into a disaster for both Arsenal and Luiz.
Only four minutes into the second half he was given a straight red card for a foul in the penalty area on Riyad Mahrez.
Following such a disappointing display his Emirates Stadium future is under the microscope once more.
Speaking to Talksport his agent Kia Joorabchian insist regardless of last night his future will be resolved before the weeks out.
“Now it becomes a moment where you’ve got 14 days left until the deadline and you’re at a critical point of your career.”
“Where you’d probably three or four years left at the very top level, so that’s obviously at the back of your mind.”
“What I can tell you is the situation from Arsenal’s point of view will be resolved this week.”
