According to the former Crystal Palace chairman, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a “small-time manager in a big-time job.”

In their worst start of a top-flight campaign in the last 30 years, Manchester United is currently sitting in the 13th position of the English Premier League.

And for former Crystal Palace chairman, Simon Jordan, this is not the position a club of this caliber should be at.

“Liverpool had to get something and Man United had to hold on to something; why is one person’s resolve less than the other’s to achieve the outcome they wanted,” he was quoted by Football 365.

“To me, that epitomizes everything I’ve said about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”

“He is a small-time manager in a big-time job,” he added.

“Manchester United are not as good a side as Liverpool,” he continued. “Liverpool are a better side than Man United at this moment in time.”

The former chairman commented: “The job of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaers of this world is to bridge that gap.”

“Is this guy going to bridge the gap with Klopp? If he is not going to bridge it with players, is he going to bridge it with management skill?”

“Well, they [Man United] haven’t got players who are as good as Liverpool’s players, and they’ve not got a manager as good as Liverpool’s manager,” he believes.

“So how in God’s name are they going to catch them?!”
