It was the stuff of dreams for Chelsea’s new boy Jorginho who started his career on an ideal note this afternoon.
Jorginho got his Chelsea career off to a flyer after the Italian calmly slotted home the penalty to give his side a 2-0 lead against Huddersfield.
The midfielder was allowed to take the penalty after Marcos Alonso was fouled in the area just before he was about to take a shot on goal.
Jorginho held his nerves to convert the spot-kick despite the whistling and noise from Huddersfield fans who were displeased with the referee’s decision.
The former Napoli man will be delighted with this, as getting his name on the scoresheet so early on in his Chelsea career will definitely make him a fan’s favourite.
Chelsea are currently in the ascendancy with a 2-0 lead in the second-half of the game, new manager Sarri will be hoping his side maintain the lead to seal three points.
