After rejecting a lucrative contract from China, Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will patiently make a decision about returning to football management.

Jose Mourinho was fired from Manchester United following a 3-1 thumping at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield last season. Since then, the Portuguese tactician has spent most of his time working as an analyst.

However, it is only a matter of time before the Special One returns to the dugout at some illustrious club. While he was hotly linked with a move to Real Madrid, it never materialized.

But that hasn’t gotten Jose Mourinho worried. The former Inter Milan manager revealed that he was subject of approach from a Chinese Super League club. Guangzhou Evergrande offered Mourinho an £88 million deal to sign for them. Indeed the deal would have made him the most expensive manager in football.

However, Jose Mourinho turned down that offer and says that he is going to wait for the right opportunity.

While speaking to Sky Sports at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, Mourinho said that he will only go for a managerial outing if it feels right.

Claiming that he is as hungry as ever, Mourinho says that he’s going to take this opportunity to enjoy other sports.

“I am hungry to get back, but I will wait for the right club, for the right project,” he said as reported by talkSPORT.

“And, in the meantime, I am doing things I like to do. I prefer to work, but I like other sports and this is a good opportunity to enjoy.”

Currently, there are no great managerial jobs on offer in the market. And while the likes of Newcastle United wanted to sign him, Jose Mourinho rejected that opportunity which is only natural considering how miserly Mike Ashley has been over the years.
