Luka Jovic admits he has failed to live up to his potential at Real Madrid, he is watching old videos to try and help rekindle his form.
Jovic arrived at Real Madrid this past summer in a 60 million Euro deal from Eintracht Frankfurt.
There was a lot of hype surrounding the 21-year-old, with him being deemed the heir apparent to Cristiano Ronaldo’s throne.
The Serbian international though has struggled in La Liga and has ended up as nothing more than a bit-part player this season.
In an interview reported by Goal, the Real Madrid player admits it’s on him, but he might know what the problem is.
“The pressure is massive, I’m battling at the moment without success. But I hope the situation changes.”
“Honestly, I’m not happy with the season because I know I can improve.”
“But I am convinced that I will do well and that I will show that I am at Real Madrid because I have the quality [to be here].”
“Sometimes I watch videos of my games last year and I think: ‘What’s gone wrong?'”
Jovic has been linked with an early exit from the Santiago Bernabeu. But it appears that his manager Zidane is still backing the youngster.
“He is the future, he has to be calm, and he is learning.
“We’ve backed him and you have to be calm with him, he’s a boy who wants to learn a lot.”
“He’s very good. He’ll get a lot of goals.”
