According to a piece of information from Jugones, Raphael Varane has already told Real Madrid that he wants to leave the club next summer.

The situation between Real Madrid and Raphael Varane is starting to get a lot more complicated than it already was, there is a report from Jugones that talks about the details of the French player’s request to leave Los Blancos for good.

One of the best defenders in the world has already spent a good seven seasons at Real Madrid, he is currently on the eighth year at the Spanish club and he feels like his time with Los Blancos is already over.

Despite the repeated statements from Zinedine Zidane talking about the player not going anywhere, the report from this Monday tells a very different story and Jugones’ track record when it comes to Real Madrid players leaving the club is virtually immaculate.

This news outlet is the one that broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s news first, they are also the ones who broke Gareth Bale’s transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid, they also broke Mariano Diaz’s transfer from Olympique Lyonnais to Sevilla and there is no reason to not believe this new information about Varane leaving next summer.

This is starting to become a similar situation to the one that took place last summer between Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo, one in which the player was deeply unsatisfied with the way the club treated him and they decided to let him leave.

However, Los Blancos are not willing to let the player leave for a price that is below his release clause (€500 million) at the moment.

The clubs that have shown interest in Varane, for now, are Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea FC.

President Florentino Perez is starting to show the same types of signs that he exposed when he was having that major disagreement with Cristiano Ronaldo, Varane doesn’t seem keen on letting the chairman step all over him like he attempted to do with the Portuguese player and leaving right now could be a perfect way to continue his career in another major club.

At this point in time, there is very little that either the president or Zinedine Zidane can do in order to convince Varane that the best option for him is to remain at Real Madrid in the future.

The arrival of Militao didn’t help his case at all, Varane saw this as a direct message to him.

As far as Raphael Varane’s replacement is concerned, the club has already started asking about Kalidou Koulibaly as one of the main options but manager Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t like the idea of letting one of his best players leave SSC Napoli anytime soon.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis has already stated that the club doesn’t want to let any of their best players leave, which is something that Ancelotti completely respects.

Other options for Real Madrid’s defense if Varane does end up leaving the club are Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool, and Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax but both players are considered impossible targets at the moment.

The best thing that Real Madrid can do at the moment is offering Varane a massive wage increase as soon as possible, something that Florentino Perez doesn’t approve because he has never liked being pushed with demands from the players.

This story does see, like it will end up with the French defender leaving the club and Zinedine Zidane having to sign a new defender when he didn’t have it in the plans for next season.
