Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola: Changing the game

Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have raised the standard in the Premier League over the past few seasons. Setting a new level of performance required, to challenge for a league title. We take a look at how they’ve managed this.

Back-to-back champions Manchester City and Champions League winners Liverpool, have raised the standard in the Premier League in a number of ways.

Both manager’s teams have consistently strengthened during transfer periods, although there are large differences between the clubs available budgets. Both Pep and Klopp have both brought a tweaked, unique style of play to the field and both have entrusted youth players with important roles on the squad.
