Jurgen Klopp would be open to making a return to Germany according to his agent who also said that his client is happy at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp has been the driving force behind Liverpool’s recent successes. The former Borussia Dortmund manager helped the Reds to Champions League glory and also came really close to winning the Premier League.
And with his contract expiring in 2022, Jurgen Klopp is yet to sign a contract extension. Liverpool want their manager to sign a long term deal. And while he has been linked to the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Marc Kosicke claims that Jurgen Klopp would one day want to manage the German national team.
While speaking to Welt, he said that Liverpool should not be worried at all since Klopp wants to stay them for the foreseeable future.
He told Welt: “Jurgen himself once said that in the event that Joachim Low someday no longer wants to be the national coach and it would be possible for him do that, this is an option for him.”
“Liverpool would even like to extend it (his current contract),” he added.
“He felt again at the recent celebrations [after winning the Champions League] what a great club Liverpool is and that he is in the right place at the right time.
“Jurgen is currently not affordable. But it is difficult to measure the transfer fee in his case anyway.
“How is this going to work for a coach who has increased the club’s value from nearly £900million to just under £2.8billion? That is not how it works.”
And Liverpool would definitely want Jurgen Klopp to stay for a really long time. The club is currently in a really good moment and enters the new season as one of the favourites to lift the domestic title.
