Klopp is aware that Liverpool, and especially Van Dijk need an extra boost, and so far, there’s only one transfer name he wants in his rows.

Can we say we are surprised that Jurgen Klopp is thinking about possible transfers to strengthen Liverpool’s leading position?

Not really.

The Reds’ coach, who this year led his team to their first Champions League victory in 14 years, now has his eyes on a fruitful new transfer. Enters Matthijs de Ligt.

The Ajax superstar has become Klopp’s favorite ever since his extraordinary performance in the home and Champions League competitions.

Moreover, Klopp is certain this transfer will help Virgil Van Dijk to be even more efficient in the upcoming football season.

As per Metro, Klopp knows De Ligt would be the perfect fit for Liverpool. However, the defender already has open offers from Barcelona, Man United and Bayern Munich.

One of the main reasons for considering De Ligt for a transfer is to increase the overall play quality within the team.

“We have the best central defenders with De Ligt and Virgil,’ Klopp said. ‘They are top defence players. De Ligt might be tempted by the idea of playing alongside Van Dijk.”

“That’s great because you build the house, always, from downstairs. You don’t start with the roof.”

“We are on a good way back to where we would like to stay as a country,” he finished and emphasized that having Van Dijk alone just won’t do the trick.
