According to manager Ivan Juric, the team is still looking for a positive campaign even after their Coppa Italia exit in the last week.
Hellas Verona was kicked out of the Coppa Italia last week after being defeated 2-1 by Cremonese.
And now the team is set to host Bologna in its first match of the 2019-2020 Italian Lega Serie A campaign.
For manager Ivan Juric, the team is still on the right track.
“I will focus more on those who assimilated our characteristics better during pre-season and it will be close to the side that played in the Coppa Italia, albeit with a few adjustments,” the coach told Football Italia.
“Daniel Bessa isn’t in the squad because of injury, but Sofyan Amrabat and Claud Adjapong will be there. I am trying to introduce new players as soon as possible.”
“For the attack, I am evaluating both Lubomir Tupta and Pazzini. I want to praise Pazzini here because he is a lovely guy, a real professional who gives his all, is the most representative player and the most loved by the fans,” he added.
“Having said all that, the staff and I do not see him in the best shape right now because of his age and various physical issues, so we’ve set out a personalized training program to get him into shape as soon as possible.”
The boss commented: “If Pazzini was fully fit, then I’d be crazy not to play him. Gennaro Tutino is also another alternative in the attack. We must give our all to achieve results, whether it’s with beautiful football, a battle or solidity.”
“It is a very emotional situation for everyone. The important thing is that he emerges victorious from that battle and the rest counts for very little.”
