Kieran Tierney is undergoing his medical with a view to completing his transfer from Celtic to Arsenal.
Breaking news from Sky Sports is that the Celtic defender is completing his move south of the border.
The deal is rumoured to be worth 25 million upfront and the agreed balance which is not yet confirmed in installments.
After having two previous offers rejected. Arsenal and Celtic have finally reached an agreement.
Arsenal initially bid 15 million, then apparently increasing that offer to 25 million.
This too was rejected by the Hoops.
They have stood firm on their valuation and as manager Neil Lennon has said:
“The deal would only be done if their valuation was met.”
It has been reported that Tierney did not train today.
He has apparently been on standby. Waiting for the call that the deal was agreed and to travel to north London to complete what should be formalities.
The 22-year-old, Scottish international defender, has made 171 appearances for Celtic and managed 8 goals and 37 assists.
He helped them to win five Scottish Premiership titles.
He ha also represented his country 12 times already.
Unai Emery has been busy, making big, expensive signings as he promised.
With the probable addition on David Luiz from Chelsea too, this would make six additions to his squad.
